I Am The Keeper-Oil & Watercolour

Oil & Watercolour

I Am The Keeper

The Light you see accross the bay, that’s my home where I will stay

Until the new machine, takes over my dream

And I don’t mind being here on my own, I’m at ease when I am alone

With the rugged rocks beneath me,  and a light above my head

It will shine

For I am the Keeper on Mizen Head, it’s a grand place, to work in

And I am the luckiest man in the world, to be stationed, in paradise

I climb the stairs and trim the Wick, sound the horn when fog is thick

For your safe navigation, back home to family

And I don’t mind the isolation at all, I paint the sky with a flock of Seagulls

My brushes keep me busy, true companions in a storm

Light will shine

For I am the Keeper on Mizen Head, it’s a grand place, to work in

And I am the luckiest man in the world, to be stationed, in paradise
